I’m happy to be a part of a great crafty collaborative blog called The Crafting Chicks! The Crafting Chicks blog has been around for a little over 2 years (I joined later in Oct. 2008) and is a place where six of us “chicks” share lots of fun crafty inspiration, projects, tutorials, digiscrapping, recipes, etc. We are thrilled to have a lovely little flock of readers and subscribers and it’s been awesome to see the support people have given us! So we have decided to step it up a bit and do a blog redesign and relaunch!! Yay!

I actually did the blog redesign and had lots of fun (and a beastly amount little bit of frustration) learning ways to tweak html code, make buttons and horizontal menu bars and all that jazz. I’m almost done with it (still have some tweaks to do) and I’m excited with how it turned out! I’d love for you to check it out. I just did a post featuring some of our favorite projects that we’ve each posted on Crafting Chicks, just to give you some ideas right away. So, will you come be our friend??? THANKS!!!

And PS. I don’t think I’ve ever posted about this AMAZING blog called Knock Off Wood, but I’ve told tons of people about it and secretly wish that I could be a woman carpenter like Ana. I’m serious. Ana has designed hundreds of plans for “knock off” Pottery Barn and West Elm and Ballard Designs and Restoration Hardware furniture, and she posts them on her blog FOR FREE. I’m chomping at the bit to build something. Anyway, she’s sort of a big deal. And today is the coolest day because Kirsten (my dear cousin friend and fellow Crafting Chick) was a guest poster on Knock Off Wood where Ana let her feature her incredible play kitchen that she built with her own 2 little hands. And a sweet nail gun. You’ll die at how darling it is. Kirsten and I have been shrieking with excitement today.
Anyway, she’s sort of a big deal. i don't remember how i originally found the blog, but i've been following it for a little while now. it was fun when i realized you were one of the "chicks."

That is a cute website. You did an excellent job designing it. I was shocked to see Becky is a chick too. I was on Institute Council with her at Dixie. I haven't seen her in years.
