Like many people I know, fall is probably my favorite season. I am so happy that we got to spend some time in the mountains last night to see the stunning colors of the changing leaves. The photos do not do it justice, it was amazing. With the setting sun and the hazy sky, the dark evergreens contrasting with the almost flourescent yellow leaves….it was absolutely breathtaking.
We went to Silver Lake to attempt to take some family pics with such a fantastic backdrop of the colorful mountains. Just our little family and the trusty tripod and self-timer. 
While it was kind of cold and kids were somewhat uncooperative to do a photo session, we were happy with a few shots.
Well, I was happy, Haylie was NOT.
Oh, I can’t handle how pretty it was up there!! I want to go every day and look at the leaves until they are gone. My camera battery was on its last juices so sadly I didn’t get many leaf pictures, but that just means that we will take another trip up there.

I love those pictures tripods are great :). Next time we should call eachother and you can take our family pictures and I can take yours. You will have to tell me how to get there. I love it.

Great pics – I got up there the weekend of Conference but they were just changing – I always seem to miss it! I’m totally with you though – Fall is absolutely my favorite season…and it’s WAY TOO SHORT!!
