Why oh why can’t I stay on top of things? 
Yes, Haylie was 6 months old on October 1, so here are some pics and stats about our favorite baby girl.
Haylie is our smallest baby, weighing in at 13 pounds 14 ounces, with a height of 25 1/2 inches. Around the 20th percentile for weight. She’s completely healthy and doing fabulous developmentally. She was very social at the dr.’s, turning on her charm.
I took the yellow bowl and the pink chair pics at Katie’s, with her new studio lights! Thanks for letting me play, Kates, it was fun! (Even though Haylie didn’t really cooperate.) But I did get a few cute shots and have them framed in her room. These next pictures I just took at my house.
Haylie continues to be a happy happy baby. She loves:
* laughing her head off at her brother and sister
* flapping her arms
* patting
* sitting up all by herself and playing with toys
* banging toys together
* grinning forever when you say her name or talk to her
* scratching her little fingers on things–like her sheets in her crib, or anything that makes noise
* grabbing faces
* to eat actual food now!! Her favorite is sweet potatoes. She gets all giddy about them. Actual baked ones, not baby food puree in a jar. She also loves cheerios and those baby fruit puffs, and table food–brown rice, pears, peaches, green beans, corn, potatoes, blueberry whole grain waffles, peas, etc….I try to sneak in baby food and rice cereal every once in a while but she likes the non-pureed foods the best. She looks so tiny in the high chair!!

* going on walks or being in the baby carrier
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how amazing life is–for example, how a little baby can learn how to do things step by step, like learn how to move her fingers to pick up a cheerio, then figure out how to let go of it in her mouth, then chew with her gums and swallow…..it’s just amazing to me. I love watching her tiny hands grab food and coordinate it all. It has to be one of the cutest things ever. Watching a baby grow and discover new things is so fascinating.
Hard to believe our Haylie Belle is already past the 6 month mark. We’re looking foward to her first holiday season coming up, but not looking forward to teething and/or crawling.
Love her to pieces. Annie always says “she is my favorite sister.” I love watching Brandon and Annie adore her.
As I always say, she is a delight. I almost want to freeze time, I love this age and don’t want to let go and have her grow too quickly.

Those are the greatest pics – I really don’t think I have ever seen another baby with a bigger smile than hers – she is adorable!

Not stay on top of things? Maybe you were a little late posting her 6 months because you are always doing fun stuff with your kids, making cute stuff, making instructions for other people to make cute stuff, decorating….etc!You are AMAZING and Haylie is ADORABLE!!!
