Can it be?? Haylie Belle is so excited to be 4 months old!
We went to the dr. yesterday and she’s “practically perfect in every way.” She weighs 12 pounds 4 ounces and is 23 1/4 inches long.
We just can’t get enough of this baby. She’s a true delight. I think she gets at least 1000 kisses a day.
I wanted to write some things about Haylie for my family history records. She is still a great eater and sleeper. The last few nights she has gone to bed at 7:30 pm and woken up at 6:45 am to eat and then goes back to sleep for an hour or two. She smiles easily and has the cutest laugh. She still moves her whole body when she smiles!! Sometimes it’s hard to get pictures because her arms and legs are a blur when she gets excited. Her mouth is always open like a birdie (the kids call it birdie mouth) and it usually has one of her fists stuffed in it!! Haylie always wants to be sucking or chewing on something. I love to watch her grab at things–you can almost see her brain working to make her arms and hands move purposefully. She rolls over from her tummy to her back and is about halfway there to rolling from back to tummy. She always wants to sit up and loved to stand in our laps. She gives juicy kisses on our cheeks. Her feet are tiny and STILL don’t fit in any of the 50 dozen shoes she has!!! She loves to watch the action around her–it’s always fun with Brandon and Annie to entertain. Her eyes are different from her siblings–a clear blue. Haylie still fits in 0-3 month clothes. She likes to make bubbles. She recognizes her family and gives us big smiles. She’s a happy gal and we love her.
Okay, now for the mouth update: I went to the oral surgeon’s office on Tuesday and he thought it looked like an infection, not really a cyst. I’m on antibiotics to see if it takes care of it and will go back in a few weeks to check it out again. So far it’s improved a lot–I’m no longer in pain and it is a lot smaller than a few days ago. So crossing my fingers I won’t have to have surgery!!
We watched the Olympic Opening Ceremony last night–WOW. It was amazing!! The kids loved the fireworks, well, we all did. And all of the “flying” people and the huge LED screens and the music and costumes….so cool. I’m looking forward to the inspirational stories that come with the games. And I was excited to see a commercial for “The Office.” I think that “slapface” should become a new olympic event. September 25th can’t come soon enough!!!
Though I’m really not wishing the time away. We are enjoying the last few weeks before school starts. Appointments galore, school shopping, getting some last fun activities in…it’s hard to believe summer is nearly over. And that my boy will be starting Kindergarten. And that Annie is almost 3 years old. And Haylie is already 4 months. Why do kids grow up so quickly??? And why am I going to be 30 years in a few short months?!??!

Brooke, Haylie is adorable! I watched the opening cerimonies as well and it was fabulous! I am sorry that I am leaving comments with questions in them but I had one more question, when you print the crafts you have created at Costco do you just print them on photo paper or do you do it on something else? And if so on photo paper do you print Glossy or Lustre? Thank you so much for answering all my questions. If you want you can email me and we can stay in touch that way. (l_heizzy@yahoo.com) Thanks again Brooke!
She is so adorable!!!! I also loved the opening ceremonies!!!! The fireworks were amazing.
why do my kids look like clonedsand yours so different? Way happy cute pictures.
she is such a happy little thing! I can’t believe she is 4 months old!!
Such a cutie, I know I’ve said it before, but she is so cute. My baby is almost 3 months and already at 13 lbs, but boys are bigger than girls right? Hopefully your mouth is feeling better soon, does not sound very fun at all.
I’m staring again.
Cute Haylie! So glad to hear your mouth is doing better. The opening ceremonies were fab! And, don’t worry about turning 30 – we’re going to make it fantastic!!!
Haylie is SO SO CUTE!! I can’t believe she is already 4 months.
Those pictures are soooooo cute! I just LOVE her big smile! You must be a very proud parent to have such cute kids!!
Ahhhhh. She is something. In my family we say, “She is special to me.”
I can’t believe she is 4 months old already! Where does the time go? Grayson will be 6 months in a little over a week. It is so fun to watch them change though. She is a doll!
