The other day Brandon was asking me for some tape, because he was working on a “secret project” for me. I gave him some tape and a few minutes later he presented this sweet note to me. It made me teary and instantly became one of my favorite things. I love how he did it all by himself, without any prompting from anyone, and how excited he was to surprise me with it. I love how the flower is taped at the top. This made me very happy.
Something else that makes me happy–this yummy chocolate brownie that I made.
I’d like to make you happy too, so I’m going to share the recipe with you. It’s very secret and gourmet but I am willing to post it. Here you go…..drumroll……
Hershey’s Best Brownies
(okay, okay, I got the recipe off the back of Hershey’s cocoa. It makes DELECTABLE brownies that my family just snarfed down in minutes.)
1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
4 eggs
1 c. flour
3/4 c. Hershey’s cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Heat oven to 350 degrees and grease 13x9x2 baking pan. Microwave butter in large bowl until melted. Stir in sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well with spoon after each addition. Add flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; beat until well blended.Pour into pan and bake for 20-30 minutes until brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan. Cool completely.
It is also a rule to eat these brownies with a tall ice cold glass of delicious milk.
Enjoy!!

yummmmmmm.
and that “special” thing from brandon – loooooooove it. it makes. . . .everything worth it.
That is SO SO CUTE!!! There is probably nothing better than getting a sweet note from your kids, I CAN’T WAIT!!! I also can’t wait to make those yummy brownies.
Brownies are perhaps the top of my list too. I just made a “cookie-peanut butter-chocolate-chocolate and peanut butter chip bar” that is so yummy too. Best part, it is made from a cake mix. Who knew? I will have to keep these in mind though. For some reason, brownies are something I don’t make homemade. I just forget it is possible. I will try these for the next party.
And…CUTE letter. I wouldn’t have been teary, I would have been bawling. I am good for the water-flow like that. Too cute.
Okay, my mouth is watering. Yum!! Brandon is such a cutie. I also love it that he attached a flower to the note. You have trained him well!!
-k- brandon is seriously one of the cutest, sweetest little boys ever!! Can I request for him to marry Bailee some day?!?!?!
You are naughty for posting the recipe for those brownies – I don’t need to be gaining any more weight these days
Truly one of those “mom moments” that make it ALL worth it! He is the cutest! FUM, KATIE;)
