I love Annie’s face in this picture! She was excited to meet her baby sister…
Daddy did her very first bath after everyone left–it was about 11:00 pm at this point. I watched from the bed and he did a very good job. I love it when the babies are all cleaned up. I was sick from the morphine (I always get nauseous after delivery) but was still so happy.
I missed Brandon and Annie while at the hospital. They came to visit for a bit and I loved watching how sweet and loving they were to Haylie. Brandon is already so protective of her.
Annie: That’s a cute bed, Mommy! (She was fascinated with the buttons on the bed.)

You’re kids looked so cute when the came to the hospital. Who dressed them and dolled up Annie’s hair? Todd sure has the kids looking mangled whenever he has to take care of them. After this weekend he remarked “I don’t know how you can get Abi to sit still to do her hair everyday, but she needs it done or she looks like this.” She looked raggedy.
I love that you captured those first days on camera. Your kids comments are cute. Congrats on becoming a family of 5!
Brooke – you are glowing! What a special family you have. I am going to come over on Saturday to just hang out on the couch.
You look WAY TOO GOOD to be coming home from the hospital after giving birth in those pictures of you with Haylie & then one with you, Haylie & Jaden. Thanks for sharing those precious pictures… I love them!
What a cute family of five! You are so good at journaling- why wouldn’t you be?- you do everything else! I am glad I know you!!!
oh Brooke, I LOVE this!!! How fun to have pics of you kiddos seeing their new baby sister for the first time!
And I have to say I honestly think that Haylie is one of the most beautiful babies I have ever seen!!!
What a lot of work to post so many pictures. Thanks. That was just the entertainment that I needed tonight. Yeah! I loved them all. Annie’s comments about all the new and beautiful things remind me of my little girl’s comments. “Mommy, you look like a princess with your mane hair.” This is the type of thing I hear when I wake up etc. Funny girls.
Again, darling pictures.
wow Brooke, she’s such a beautiful new-born. And I’m so sorry about the mastitis. My sister had it and I remember how incredibly sick she was. I’m glad you’re feeling much better now. You’ve had a rough go. You have a very beautiful Party of Five!!!
Love those pics. Glad to see you are all healthy and happy again. Hope your digi-scrap weekend to Park City was successful.
Awww! Thanks for sharing those sweet moments with us.

Wow, Brooke! Those photos are amazing!!! I loved reading about your kids reactions & what they said in the hospital. It made me really excited for our turn when my kiddos meet their new little baby, too. Love you tons & I look up to lots!
p.s. you’re totally invited to our Open House! After looking through your photos I’m thinking I might request to see you sooner so you can get some amazing photos of our baby! How do you do it? I’m stunned!!!
I am one of Kirsten’s friends and I just had to say thank you for your cute bracket book. I downloaded it last week and had so much fun putting it together. You are so creative! I keep telling Kirsten I want to meet you! I wanted to go to the Park City thing, Kirsten said it was awesome! Thanks again!
