The cookies are by the fireplace, the stockings are hung, the kids are all snug in their beds…and we are finishing up a few little things in prep for Santa to come! I have some random pictures to share.
Some pictures we took on Sunday after church…
Here is Brandon’s Christmas list this year. I helped him with the spelling. Gotta love it.
Being kind of dorky, I decided to make them their own little “golden tickets” like on the movie. They turned out sort of….well….dorky-ish, but Brandon and Annie liked them so that’s what matters! I punched out “BELIEVE” on them.
A few weeks ago Grandma Wendy and Grandpa Russ took the kids on the Polar Express!! They got matching PJ’s with their names on them, and they were SO excited. We’d read the book and watched the movie in preparation.

On the train–thanks to Dad for taking pictures. Don’t mind the kids looking drunken, I think it’s cute pictures of my mom and dad.
They passed out the Polar Express books during the train ride.
Notice Annie snoozing in the background–she slept through half of it!
Afterwards they each got their own special bell.
We’ve had Christmas gatherings a plenty….I think in a few days I’ll do a little holiday wrap-up. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas! Amid all the craziness of the holidays, it’s nice to pause and reflect on the reason for the celebration. I’m so grateful for the birth of Christ, for the foundation His life has given to me and my family, and that He lives today! MERRY CHRISTMAS.

I was wondering HOW you designed your Christmas card…like the cute wording part..I am new to blogging and trying to get my pictures more personalized this year…how do you “write” on the pictures???
Do I need to get a program for my computer to do the digital scrapbooking stuff? Help!!
Cute cute cute blog! I will be visiting again!
Saw you on Tip Junkie. Cute card. My question is do you just print those at home or where do you print them at?
To answer some questions:
Momofgirls–I use Adobe Photoshop Elements for my photo editing and digital scrapbooking. I used a variety of digital scrapbooking kits and elements on my card in Photoshop, and that’s where I wrote the words on my pictures and everything. Photoshop Elements is the much less expensive version of the full Photoshop, and you can get it for under $100. I love it. In my sidebar there are links to some of my favorite online digital scrapbooking stores if you are interested.
Melissa–you can print at home which I do sometimes or you can print at any photo lab. I like Costco, that’s where I also print my scrapbook pages. This particular Christmas card I had printed at Winkflash.com in the 4×8 size, they had a good deal. I also like VistaPrint.com to print out bulk amounts of cards.
Hope this was helpful!
I don’t see the 4×8 size on winkflash. I made a baby announcement in the 4×8 but am not sure how to print it at winkflash.
HI
