Hello again! After several threats from certain people (who shall remain nameless) about my lack of bloggage, I decided it was finally time to post something on my poor, neglected blog. You know when there is so much to do that you get overwhelmed and then you end up not doing ANYTHING?? Well, that is me, blog-wise. Lots to write about, but little motivation. 😉
We had a wonderful time in Cancun! Luckily we weren’t there during the hurricane scare. The one word I would use to describe Cancun is HOTTTTTTTTT. I don’t think I’ve ever sweat so much in my life. But it was gorgeous and lots of fun. I’ll post later with tons of pictures. Something to look forward to, right??
Ahhhh, the Burning “M”. Recognizable to fellow MHS Spartans. Not too long after we got home from our trip, we had our 10 year high school reunion. Which I had the pleasure (sarcasm) of planning, since I was once the Senior Class President. This has been the bane of my existence. It kind of took over my life for a little while–luckily I had my sweet Jaime here to go crazy with!!! It actually ended up being a success, tons of people came and everyone was so kind and appreciative. I’m lucky because my husband and I graduated from the same class and basically had the same group of friends that we hung out with, so we had a good time! It was great to see good friends and acquaintances. Everyone says that the 10-year is awful, that people are full of themselves and trying to out-do everyone else. Not the case with this reunion. I didn’t get that vibe at all, which was awesome. It was exhausting though and being in charge I didn’t get the chance to talk with everyone that I wanted to, and I didn’t really take any personal pics with my pals–that’s my only regret. We did a family picnic with a bounce house, a balloon guy, and face painting. It was hilarious to see all the kids running around, and realizing who they belonged to. We had a dinner with just adults that evening where we PACKED nearly 200 people in at a yummy Italian restaurant, had lots of good food and then we did some trivia and prizes and stuff. At the end my friends had sent around a collection and everyone donated a lot of money for our little committee to say thanks for planning the reunion. It really meant a lot–what great friends. Thanks to you all! But I couldn’t be happier that it’s over. Although I am going through Jaime-withdrawals! I miss you!!!! Move here!!!! I borrowed some pics from her blog since I was a dork and didn’t take any fun ones.
Well, that’s enough to post for today, I think. I will talk about Cancun and how Brandon has already started school again and some fun pictures I’ve taken lately and about some fun stuff we’ve done this week, and about my little brother going on a mission….and about the big move!! We move a week from today!
Looking forward to life slowing down in the hopefully near-ish future. Have a good one!

P.S. I nearly cried when I read that you move in a week from today. I can’t believe it. Enough said.
Welcome back to blog world, Brooke. You should feel so honored that so many people miss reading about your exciting life. Luckily, I have the pleasure of seeing your bueatusque face often enough to make up for your lack of blogging for 3 weeks! NEVER let it happen again! Glad we got to do lunch today! Love ya!
P.S. Only someone as cleaver and creative as you would come up with such a cute newspaper article to reenter the blogging world! Love it!
Soooo fun to see your blog! We think your little boy looks just like Jaden. We were able to be home in Utah for 6 weeks this summer and were sad that we were going to miss the 10 year reunion. I guess that is the wonderful thing about your blog! We can see your way cute family and a lot of what you have been up to! We’ll have to keep checking up on each other! Steve and Nancy Kirk
I just tried to leave a comment, so I don’t know if this is a repeat…but, we are so glad you found our blog! We think your little boy looks just like Jaden. We were able to be home in Utah for the summer, but our timing was off just enough to miss the reunion. I guess that is the wonderful thing about blogging-we can see your absolutely darling family and what you have been up to. We’ll have to keep checking up on each other!

Welcome Back! I can totally empathize with you on the moving thing…this is for the birds. But I’ll be in Utah soon enough. Loved reading the other MHS alums posts about the reunion. Everyone has only had good things to say about it. Way to go!!!

Thanks! I thought it was a huge success, & even the hubbies- who weren’t from our class- seemed to enjoy themselves. Thanks again for all of your effort!
The reunion was great. You and Jaime did a great job. I had a good time. It was nice to see everyone again.
I must say once more that you are an excellent photographer. Do you do pictures for people because I would love some of my new baby.
Where are you moving?
