Doesn’t that look delish? Costco has these strawberries that I swear are as big as apples. I LOVE them. Strawberries are my favorite fruit so I love this time of year when they are ripe and yummy and apparently ginormous in size. I’m weird, I like taking pictures of my foods.
Speaking of foods, remember that pic I posted of the chocolate chip cookies? Well, that was the “before.” Here is an “after”:
Annie obviously enjoyed them. Brandon wouldn’t let me take any pictures of him but he did eat several dozen. (so I exaggerate……)
Now on to other things. Yesterday was a fun day. In the morning Annie and I went on a little mommy/daughter date with some friends! We got a little dressed up and had a yummy buffet lunch at Grand America–it was a fabulous time with just the ladies. After lunch we went and let the girls frolick around this fountain in the courtyard. It was really pretty, kind of windy and not the warmest, but we got a few cute pictures. I’m sad though because I accidently had my ISO set way too high and forgot to change it, plus it was noon-day bright sun, but oh well. They turned out okay, kind of grainy… (I didn’t post the shots with the other gals because I didn’t want them to get mad at me!!!!! Maybe later I will…..)
While us gals were away, Jaden and Brandon had some fun of their own. After the barber shop and the bank, they went and had lunch at “Nick-Donalds” (Brandon-ese) and played in the playground (“I want to play in the inside playground because it’s so very windy.”). Then they went and visited Jaden’s friend Clay and his wife and they flew kites for awhile. It was the perfect kite flying day.
Last night Jaden and I went to a huge surprise farewell party for our dear neighbors who are moving back to England. I love those guys so much (especially sweet Jill) and will miss them so much. Fred was the stake Patriarch and I worked with Jill with music pretty much the whole time we’ve lived here and she is one of my dear friends. Someone once described Jill as our neighborhood’s fairy godmother, which is so true! She is such a delight and everyone just falls in love with her immediately. I’ll miss her cheery “hello, it’s only me” and “hello dearie” whenever she’d call my house, and her bubbly personality and how sweet she was to our kids. The party was a huge success and was such a wonderful night, celebrating Fred and Jill with music, a slideshow, memories, a delicious dinner, etc. They are loved by so many people. I feel like a better person just because they are in my life. There’s no one quite like them. I told Jill to PLAN on us coming to visit them, hopefully soon. I get teary just thinking of them leaving….. awww, I’ll miss them!!
Well, I’m going to go finish watching The Incredibles with the boys. Love that show. Brandon reminds me of Dash, the super kid who runs everywhere. Quite fitting, eh? He’s been asking questions THE ENTIRE MOVIE. He is majorly in that “WHY?” stage. It’s hard trying to be patient and creative with the answers…

Hey Brookie…Saturday was super fun, your pictures of Annie turned out so cute! I’d love to see the one of all 8 of us, so if you don’t post it here, email it to me. We’ll have to plan another “Fancy Nancy” outing soon! Love the picture of chocolate chip face Annie, I have one just like it of Aidan! TTFN!
