I have about a million other things I should probably be doing right now, but oh well! The bloggie was callin’. Today was fun because I went to the Scrapbooking Expo and taught a digiscrapping layout class with Digital Scrapbook Memories! I shared some of my “go to” tips and tricks and met some great gals and did some more one-on-one teaching. It was my first time teaching about digiscrapping using a huge projector and standing in front of a whole classroom of people, but I actually enjoyed it quite a bit! Here are a few layouts I did using “The Playground”, a brand new digital CD from DSM and “In the Mood”, another recent CD. Fun stuff!
(This family one is actually an older layout I did but I just used DSM products and changed a few things.) I just love that quote, it’s from a Jack Johnson song that is one of our favorites.
I have a few funny stories/moments about the kids that I wanted to jot down:
Brandon: (These ones are not really that recent but I was just reminded about them.) When we were potty training Brandon my mom bought him some new under*wear and he said, “Hey, my friend Matthew sits on those same ones!” And then while we were in Costa Rica earlier this year my mom took Brandon on the Trax to meet my dad for lunch. While on the “train” a homeless-looking man with long hair and a beard got on and Brandon asked “Is that Jesus?”
Annie: During this past weekend while I was in Las Vegas, Jaden was home with the kids and for some reason he had to go upstairs with Brandon. Leaving Annie downstairs in the kitchen alone. Hmmmmm. When he came back to the kitchen, he found that Annie had taken a container of chocolate cake from the table, put it on a chair, then she went to the drawer and got two spoons and a fork and was just chowing down on the cake. Huge mess. He said, “Annie, what are you doing??!?!?” She just looked up at him, shoving a huge piece into her mouth, and said “YUMMM!” So funny. The first thing I thought of was about how cute of a picture that would’ve been! Of course, Jaden did not whip out the camera but just cleaned up the huge mess. Also, Annie has just been fascinated by the toilet lately. That same weekend he found her swishing her hands in it after having thrown in 2 whole rolls of TP. Lovely. Just a few days ago I handed her a toothbrush, then she immediately opened the lid and threw it in to the potty. Now we’re in the market for a new Princess-y toothbrush.
More to write but this girl needs to go to bed. I’ve been up so late every night for the last week and it’s catching up to me. Nighty Nite!

My sister is going to the Expo…Oh how I wish I could be there to go to all those great classes. I didn’t know you were teaching! I am certain you are an amazing teacher.
I am so jealous of your fun day at the expo. I wish also I could have been there. But, I think I would have been mowed down by the other crazy scrappers moving faster than a pregnant girl giving birth in 2 days! I love your family layout. It is simple and perfect. Yet another one that I need to scraplift! Hee hee
I love the layouts! I’m glad that you had a good time! Thanks for all the digiscrapping lessons you give me! (And I am serious that when you are tired of telling me how to do stuff, you can tell me to stop!!) You’re amazing!
